~Catalyst Recordings began in Chicago in 1996, and was founded by Terry Mullan. Terry was hooked on music early in life, It's hard not to be growing up in Chicago. Music was always the driving force in Terry's life, from Jazz band to DJ'ing it was only a matter of time before Terry made his career in music. Dj'ing took Terry all over the world, where he was exposed to many different styles of dance music. Facilitating this vision was easier with friends like Richie Hawtin and John Acquaviva who ran Plus 8 Records.~
